The world will again witness another amazing clash in the boxing arena in Las Vegas next year, May 7, as the eight-title holder Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao accept the duel against the American’s pride, Shane Mosley,
The two great boxers will exchange blows for the World Boxing Organization Welterweight belt. Promoter of the much-awaited battle, Bob Arum, stated that the upcoming clash will surely excite the viewers as both of the fighters knows how to handle each other’s strength. The American fighter knows how to release counter attacks against the astonishing speed of Pacquiao, while the pound-for-pound king never fails to give his audiences an excellent show of his powerful boxing skills.
Pacquiao, who just recently beat Antonio Margarito, has a standing of 52-3 with 38 knockouts and 2 draws. He has been reigning undefeated in the boxing ring for six years as he overpowered famous fighters including Ricky Hatton, Oscar dela Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez and Miguel Cotto.
On the other hand, the 39-year-old Mosley has 46-6 standing with 39 knockouts and a draw. He garnered his first draw fight in the last September’s match against a countryman, Sergio Mora.
Mosley’s name rose to be next potential contender of the Filipino champion after the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. failed to close a deal with Pacquiao’s team. The megafight has been vaguer as Mayweather faces several charges filed in the court of Las Vegas. The fighter is expected to attend hearings early next year to deal with those matters.
